From all indications, the National Convention was a major success! The event offered several presentations and workshops to include Claims, Chapter Development, VIMS (Veterans Information Management System), Recycle 4 NABVETS, SNOLS (Shop NABVETS Online Stores), Women Veterans Issues, Legislative Issues, Center for Minority Affairs, Aces Museum, Managing Finances, and other excellent presentations.

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin introduced, on November 7, 2007, the Women Veterans Health Care Improvement Act, a bill to expand and improve VA health care services for women who have served, particularly those who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom (OIF/OEF).
