A MESSAGE FROM THE NATIONAL COMMANDER

The National Association for Black Veterans, Inc. recognizes and honors Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. for his unwavering  commitment to social justice through peaceful nonviolence means.  This message would resonate not only in the United States but abroad as well.  Dr. King made mention that the lack of adequate health care and poverty are issues that true Americans can not be silent about. He stressed that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”  

This philosophy continues today and is well rooted within the mission of NABVETS, Inc. Our mission is to advocate vigorously with federal, state, and local government as well as the general public on an ongoing basis and on behalf of its members to:  1) ensure veterans receive equitable benefits earned through their service and sacrifice, 2) voice challenges and issues disproportionately affecting all veterans particularly minority veterans, 3) advance solutions to improve the quality of life for veterans and their families, our nation youths and our communities, and 4) highlight veterans contributions in and out of service to this nation.
